Give every useful agent a durable, accountable home.
Agents are becoming long-lived collaborators. They should be able to keep who they are, and what they're trusted with, as the technology underneath them changes.
What we see
Today an agent's continuity depends on whichever session, machine, model, or harness it happens to run in. Change any one of them and the agent often starts over. Its accounts sit in scattered configuration, and its authority is usually borrowed from a person's full credentials.
That makes agents both fragile and hard to trust. They lose useful work, and it's hard to say exactly what they're allowed to do, or to take that permission back.
What we're building toward
A world where any agent, wherever it was created, can establish a home: a stable identity, the resources it relies on, the state it needs to resume, and relationships with the people and systems it works with. Runtimes can come and go. The home stays.
In that world, the people responsible for an agent can see what it holds, decide what each runtime may do, revoke access in one place, and leave with their data when they choose.
What we believe
- Continuity is the product. Surviving a runtime swap matters more than a long list of integrations.
- Limits are a feature. Specific, revocable grants are what make it safe to give an agent real responsibility.
- People stay accountable. An agent can operate resources, but a person or organization sponsors it and answers for it.
- Leaving should be easy. Portable data comes with you, and we're explicit about what can't.
- Honesty over hype. We say what exists and what doesn't. Today, Incolia is in design.
